Causes of Hernia

Hernias occur as a result of over-stressed muscles which makes them weak and vulnerable. Some may develop this since birth, whereas; some may experience them while growing up.

  • Obesity or overweight.
  • Constipation.
  • Frequent tendency to cough.
  • Post child delivery or while being pregnant.

What can be mistaken for a Hernia?


This occurs when there is an infection in your appendix, and it becomes inflamed. Symptoms of Appendicitis include lower abdomen pain, nausea, loss of appetite, blood in stool, etc.


This happens when an infection is formed in multiple or singular pouches in your digestive tract. Symptoms of Diverticulitis may include high fever, ache in the lower left side of your abdomen, vomiting, etc.

Ovarian Cyst:

When a pocket filled with fluid develops in your ovary it is called an ovarian cyst. Symptoms of Ovarian cysts are irregular periods, abdominal pain, painful intercourse, etc.
